Omnidirectional movement and person-following AGV - Mecanum transport robot
[AGV Automated Guided Vehicle] No tape needed, recognizes and follows humans. Achieves omnidirectional movement with wheels instead of using bipedal locomotion mechanisms.
Reliable technology supporting omnidirectional movement mechanisms We offer custom solutions tailored to customer specifications. 【Core Technology】 Tosa Electronics has integrated an engine that centrally controls the errors and behavioral discrepancies that occur during omnidirectional movement onto a single circuit board. This allows for stable movement within the robot without placing a burden on the upper-level control system issuing the commands. ■ What is omnidirectional movement? Mecanum wheels are covered by barrels that are tilted 45 degrees relative to the axle. In addition to the same movements as conventional wheels, the free-moving barrels on the circumference allow for movement in the 45-degree direction. By adjusting the rotation direction and speed control of the four motors, omnidirectional movement is achieved. ■ Case Studies - Adopted for transport carts in automotive and electronic component factories - Can be used as both a cart and a workbench since it can move while carrying work equipment *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
